On Friday, August 29, the Airborne Collection gallery will officially open at the Bastion Hotel Arnhem. This unique gallery is dedicated entirely to the Airborne commemorations and serves as a meeting place for anyone who feels a connection to the history of Operation Market Garden and the Battle of Arnhem.
All 30 paintings from the Airborne Collection can be viewed in the gallery. This unique collection brings the stories, emotions, and memories of the Battle of Arnhem to life in a remarkable way and makes a valuable contribution to commemorating and honoring Airborne history.
Landed Paratrooper
Artist Albert Ziëck will be personally present at the festive opening to unveil his artwork, *Landed Paratrooper*. This impressive sculpture pays tribute to the paratroopers who landed in the Arnhem area in September 1944.
